Click this link to view the video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK7W68OqbiY&feature=youtu.be Many students find difficulty in memorizing the conversion of units and that is the very reason why it is the subject matter of this video editing. While people, even younger ones, got to memorize songs easily. That is why we come up with this kind of idea as our video editing presentation, by collaborating two definitely opposite things that will meet halfway. So I guess just by these statements, you know now what's the content of our video. We really had hard time in making this video. In fact, we made it very late to the point that it's really close to the deadline(sorry sir Ricky and sir Champ hehe). At first we really don't know what to do but later on, when we gave our time and focus on it, many ideas came out, presented, and were pondered about. Yes, everyone has different ideas and suggestion, but in order to keep the harmony and unity of the group, everyo...

The Freedom Writers - a reflection

Ms. Gruwell, who were a new English teacher to a school with high racial tension, got assigned to a class who were considered to be the worst class with the worst students, at that time. And this is how the story began. What I love for this story is Ms. Gruwell herself and her great passion for teaching. Even though it is so hard for her cause at first, her students shows no interest with her class, disrespect her, won't attend the lesson, and students fights with each other, still, Ms. Gruwell believed that one day her students will change. She manage to think everyday of different strategies and approach just to get the attention and trust of her students. She always finds a way even it is beyond her limit. And yes, they changed and find home to their classroom where they used to take for granted. This things made me admire Ms. Gruwell even more, I learned that at the end of the day, it's not what you try to teach them that will be left in their mind, but who and what ...

The Seonsaengnim in Me

It's really odd that when you were still a child, you pretty much know what you want to be when you grow up. But when you already grown up, you really aren't sure of what course will you get or what path will you choose. I must admit it, I want to be a "nurse" back then.  But as time passes by, things happen not how we expected but for sure, for a reason. I already knew it before that to take nursing is really costly and knowing that I didn't came from a wealthy family and the possible tuition would burden us. In addition to that, I passed in the entrance exam from a prestigious school, which is my school now, where med courses are sadly not yet offer. And for some instances, I fell on this course, Education, to be a teacher, which I didn't expected. But things happened for a purpose, right? And yes I learn to love teaching. Each time I see children who are truly willing to learn, especially those of who where on rural area, there is this eagerness in m...

Forever Radio 88.8 - A Radio Broadcasting

Image
Link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTzeFe7NzX0 Time is indeed gold. And that is what I learned in my experience while making this radio broadcasting with my group. Being able to finish this project is a great accomplishment for us, thanks to my hard working groupmates. It really needs the cooperation of the members, each being responsible in their own task and parts. It's honestly difficulty 'cause in the first place, we have different schedules as we in our group are not all blockmates, some are unblock to this class including me, it is just that it takes the availability of everyone to fulfill this requirement.  I learned that how hard the task is, all you need to have is an understanding with your mates, patience, empathy with each one and connect with everyone. Know that you don't know all and you have your mates who could help you and might have more delightful idea. Always remember that you are not alone, don't own all the duties, you have your group f...

Bevs' Journey in a Nutshell

Image
On the 5th of November in the year 1997, at a little house  in  Lagao, General Santos City where I, your Beverly Joy "Bevs" Pendatun, was born. I grew up and made friend with a kid who lives near our house which then lately became my classmate and bestfriend. That kid, which is a girl, had a dream in her life and that is to become a teacher. I lived my 9 years listening to her story about their religion, how she loves the Harry Potter movies and books, and how much she wants to be a teacher just like her mother and her 4 older siblings. I, on the other hand, never even a little, think of becoming just like who she wants to be. But then time goes by so fast, things happen not how we expect it to be. Me and her happens to separate due to us entering different schools when we reach college, at the same time, me and my family transfer our house in Brgy. Buyan where we currently live. I heard she entered to a college but soon transfer to a university, became a working stu...

6 Photography Hacks

Image
Hack #1. The Rule of Thirds • A n image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines • aligning a subject with these points creates more tension, energy and interest in the composition than simply centering the subject. The Lost Wander This photography hack is one of the easiest among the 6. It is so easy that it made us had a difficult time in finding the best objects (for you can use anything on it as your object) in it. And then we ended up with flowers as the main focus of this part. Me and my partner(Jeffrey) took the 1st and 2nd photo, respectively. A little tip to make your photo a bit lit: Focus on your main object and make everything around it blurry(or vice versa)-- dont click your camera immediately, wait until it gives you the focus that you crave. The Gifted Hack #2. Contrast • A tool that photographers use to direct viewers’ attention to their subject....
